Eye, Hatshepsut

Eye, Hatshepsut is an olfactive homage to one of history’s most successful gender rebels: Hatshepsut, Pharaoh of Egypt. She was a warrior, a visionary, a pioneer, but Hatshepsut is perhaps most remembered for her keen ability to rewrite the narrative of history to her favor… a mythical legacy forever emblazoned into the walls of her mortuary temple at Dayr al-Bahri.

The fragrance structure of Eye, Hatshepsut takes inspiration from Hatshepsut’s historic legacy of gender play. It mixes softer, sweeping floral arcs (lotus, iris) with contrasting resinous edges (kohl, kyphi), weaving together olfactory threads of strength and beauty atop a crystalline backdrop of Saharan sands.

Eye, Hatshepsut is crafted in collaboration with perfumer Cecile Hua (Mane USA).
